Born in Liverpool, raised in Newcastle, musician Gem Andrews makes music that is deeply rooted in alt-country and British folk, with her fiercely independent voice carrying inflections of Patsy Cline, Lucinda Williams and Kate & Anna McGarrigle. Gem currently lives in Newcastle upon Tyne with her wife, and two small children.
